​Alqalam Learning Institute

Alqalam Learning Institute is the first Arabic language institute that teaches Arabic for all grade levels and adults in Toledo area. It uses different methods for teaching Arabic for native and non-native speakers to provide the needed skills for each group of learners. Besides Arabic classes, the institute works to improve children’s math and reading skills and offers other activities.

 

Alqalam Learning Institute offers classes as follows:

 

Arabic reading classes: These classes will provide the student with a strong foundation aimed at producing fluent Arabic readers.

 

Arabic for beginners: Students will learn all language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). Upon finishing the requirements of this level, students will be promoted to a higher level.

 

Communication classes: Students will develop their oral Arabic language skills in a simulated atmosphere by using drama, songs, poem, and games. Students in these classes should already be able to read, they will develop a deeper understanding of Arabic by improving their knowledge of its language structures.

 

Arabic classes for non-speaker adults: Learners will develop their oral language skills in addition to their reading and understanding of the language structures.

Islamic Studies classes: These classes will focus on building a strong Muslim character in the students based on the right knowledge and practical applications.

Math and English reading classes: In these classes, the weaknesses of the students will be addressed to produce students who have a solid foundation in mathematics and strong readers who enjoy reading and love learning. They will stress the ability to read fluently, reading comprehension, and basic mathematics skills.

 

Art classes for kids and adults: Different kinds of classes will be offered like clothing design, crochet, crafts, Arabic calligraphy and more.

As Technology has become an essential part of the 21st century classroom, we are incorporating it into our curriculum to facilitate the learning process.

 

 

 

 

 

Tuition fees:

Classes (per subject) meeting once a week for 1½  hours:                 $70 a month

Classes (per subject) meeting twice a week for one hour each time:   $90 a month
